Tiny Ties Terms of Service

1. About Tiny Ties

Tiny Ties is a volunteer-run program that helps families give gently used baby and kid gear a second life by connecting donors with nearby recipients. All items are given away for free. Tiny Ties is not a retailer, marketplace operator, or shipper — we simply help neighbors find each other.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to post items, receive items, or use our SMS programs. By using Tiny Ties you represent that you are 18 or older.

3. Posting Items

• You must own the items you post and have the right to give them away.
• Items must be clean, safe, and functional.
• Car seat donations cannot be expired or have been in a prior accident. Items subject to a manufacturer recall must not be posted.
• No sales, trades, or requests for payment or reimbursement. Everything on Tiny Ties is free.
• Tiny Ties may remove any listing at our discretion, including during moderator review before it goes live.

4. Pickups & Safety

Donors and recipients arrange pickup directly through our anonymous relay. You are solely responsible for choosing safe times and locations, inspecting items before use, and following manufacturer guidance. Tiny Ties makes no warranties about the condition, safety, or suitability of any item.

5. SMS Messaging Terms (A2P 10DLC)

Tiny Ties operates SMS programs on U.S. phone numbers registered under A2P 10DLC: a concierge number for posting and managing listings, and a pool of anonymous relay numbers that forward messages between a donor and a recipient without revealing either phone number.

• Consent. By texting our concierge number or by confirming your phone number on the Tiny Ties website to message a neighbor, you consent to receive SMS messages from Tiny Ties related to that activity, including listing confirmations, magic-link sign-in messages, relay messages from the neighbor you're connected with, and pickup follow-up questions.
• Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your activity — typically 1–10 messages per active conversation.
• Message and data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
• Opt-out. Reply STOP to any Tiny Ties message to opt out; you'll receive a confirmation and no further messages. Reply HELP for help, or email mytinyties@gmail.com.
• Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• No third-party marketing. Personal information (including phone numbers and message content) collected through SMS will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Notice for details.

6. Acceptable Use

Don't use Tiny Ties to harass, spam, solicit payment, sell goods or services, post recalled or unsafe items, or send unlawful content. We may suspend or remove any user who violates these terms.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Tiny Ties is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tiny Ties and its volunteers are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, your interactions with other users, or your use of any donated item.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date at the top.
